Senior Pastor Bill Hulse wanted to revisit the old Bible stories that had been studied in Sunday School and Bible School as children, but presented through the eyes of an adult. It was proposed that they be presented as heroes, bigger than life characters, and the series kicked off with the story of Jonah. The visuals pay homage to stories of childhood, summer blockbusters, superheroes, and Marvel movies.
